Boston Rugby Club are encouraging more girls to take up the sport.
England Ladies recently won the Women’s Rugby World Cup, proving that the sport isn’t just for the boys.
The Boston club are currently experiencing a surge of young female players, but they are still on the lookout for more.
The Blue and Whites currently have girls playing at the club from the ages of five (at under six level) through to 11 (under 12s).
At these ages they may train and play with the boys but once they reach under 13s level they must play as a girls-only team.
At the moment, Boston are close to having a girls’ under 13s team next season, but are currently appealing for any interested girls to try the sport out.
Any child, whether a boy or girl, that is interested in giving rugby a try can contact Boston RFC minis liaison officer James Vickers on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07765 400 175.
