Boston Rugby Club suffered a heavy 57-0 defeat at Midlands 3 East (North) champions Melton Mowbray on Saturday.

The runaway leaders avenged their 10-10 draw at Boston - the only time they have dropped points in 21 matches so far this season - in style.

Due to work and injuries, the Blue and Whites took a weakened side to Leicestershire.

Although the side never gave up trying, they were well beaten by a very good and very well-drilled side.

A number of Second XV players and youngsters were drafted in.

Willem Jonker’s (pictured) team play their final game of the season on April 11 at home to Notts Moderns, and the game will be preceded by a VP lunch.
