Two original members of Chumbawumba , who rose to chart success in 1997 with Tubthumping, will be heading to Boston next Friday, May 15, with their new band.
Dunstan Bruce and Harry Hamer have joined forces with Stephen Griffin of Regular Fries to form Interrobang.
They describe themselves as early Chumbas meets Wilko Johnson meets 8 Rounds Rapid punk-pop.
They promise brutally honest lyrics ‘inspired by the idea of hitting the age of 50 and what this all means, while creating a crass punk blues sound’.
The Leeds outfit will be performing as part of an Endeavour Presents showcase, hosted by Boston’s Endeavour Radio, at The Pilgrim Lounge on York Street, in Boston from 7.30pm.
Supporting the band are punk ‘n’ rollers Kamikaze Hotshot who have a huge stage presence, they take a crowd and show them the best time.
Plus Live loop musician Loop Cycle who transforms the guitar, voice and human beatbox, with effects and live-looping to build a structured hybrid fusion of sound influenced by rock, jazz, funk, and electronic.
Organisers call this is a ‘must see’ gig and say audiences should get down to the Pilgrim Lounge early to not miss out.
Tickets are £8 in advance from The Pilgrim Lounge or Nevermind The Music Store, in Church Street, in Boston.
You can also book on Eventbrite or pay £10 on the door.
