Here’s Aimee’s first piece:
Finally the snow has gone and our Lincolnshire sunshine is starting to hint that spring is on its way. This means it is time to ditch the duffle coat, woolly scarf and thermals and start to think of what spring might bring.
This spring is all about colour; bold and bright or pastel and pretty and the options are endless. Whether you want to colour clash your threads, don a party dress or simply paint your nails the high street has much to offer for this Spring/Summer. Here are the top five high street picks.
1.The Killer Dress.
New Look’s poppy printed tulip dress is the perfect summer frock. Whether teamed with flip flops for a hot summer day, a tailored jacket for a summer wedding or with tights and leather jacket for a spring night on the town this dress is made for the occasion. Not only is the shape uber flattering with its cinched waist and tulip skirt but also at £24.99 it is a complete bargain.
2.Let your legs do the talking.
Every girl has their favourite pair of jeans and this season River Island have a array of pairs waiting to work their way into your wardrobe. With pastel pairs at just £20, they are the perfect companion to soft blouses, t-shirts and knitwear.
The brave of the bunch can also pick up a pair of this seasons must have printed jeans for £40. Teamed with killer heels and a t-shirt anyone will stand out in these.
Print and patterns were all over the catwalks for Spring/Summer 2012 and Espirit’s skirt is the perfect high street alternative. At £39, it is a definite spring investment but once the compliments come flooding in, it will be completely worth it.
4. Although summer is just around the corner, our British springtime is anything but reliable. Therefore it is a must to invest in the ultimate spring jacket. Head on to Marks and Spencer for a cotton jacket which at £55, is a divine addition to any spring wardrobe. It’s yellow hues and abstract pattern can be teamed with jeans, dresses or with its matching shorts (short suits are the fash-pack’s favourite this season) the options are endless.
Nowadays the nails on the catwalk are almost as important as the collections. Get this season’s colours at the end of your fingertips for the bargain price of £2.99. Rimmel’s ‘I love lasting colour’ Fruity collection comes in an array of colours, the favourites being pastel yellow, coral orange and apple green. Not only are these bargain polishes but they smell of their fruity colours too, the perfect way to get polished and fresh this season.
