Fans of the magical adventures of Middle Earth are set for a special treat tomorrow night – as West End Cinema shows all three Hobbit films back-to-back.
The final film in Peter Jackson’s Tolkein trilogy, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, is out on Friday.
To celebrate, Boston’s cinema is offering fans the chance to test their endurance with a special triple bill tomorrow (Thursday).
An Unexpected Journey and the Desolation of Smaug will be shown from 6pm, before the new film gets its first airing in HFR 3D from midnight – bringing the marathon show to a close at about 1.55am on Friday.
The final Hobbit film sees Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, and his band of dwarves entering the Lonely Mountain, sparking anger of the deadly dragon Smaug.
As the action reaches its climax the fate of Middle Earth hangs in the balance and men, elves and dwarves alike face a decision to unite or die.
The finale again features a star -studded cast with Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield.
Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch returns as Smaug the Magnificent and Sauron the Necromancer and Orlando Bloom returns as Legolas Greenleaf.
