Calling all Boston snappers – a photography competition is being launched to find ‘inspiring images’ of the town for the Visitor Guide 2013.
The winning photographs, and a selection of the best runners up, will be displayed in Oldrids’ gallery in Straight Bargate.
The competition is being arranged by Boston Visitor Economy Partnership, Boston BID, the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by Oldrids.
Tricia Trice, project manager for the Boston Visitor Economy Partnership, said: “The competition is open to everyone, regardless of experience. We want to capture the essence of Boston in the new Visitor Guide 2013, and we thought that the best way achieve it was through this competition.
“We would like to ask local residents to help share with us their favourite parts of Boston and email them into the competition.
“Photographs could be of anything from a historical landmark to people enjoying them selves in the town, right through to Boston’s business community at work and people taking part in sporting activities.
“The winning pictures will be announced in December and the photographs will be on display in Oldrids in January.”
“We’re really looking forward to seeing what photographs are submitted, as it will help us market Boston to visitors in the future.”
In total there are eight categories in the competition including people enjoying Boston, history, digital art, nature, Boston markets, hidden gems, business communities, and sports and leisure activities.
