Boston Mayor Coun Paul Kenny has appealed for people to join him at the Salvation Army town carol service at the Centenary Methodist Church tonight.
The concert takes place at 6.30pm and the Mayor is exoected to re-iterate the need to come together as a community this Christmas after last week’s floods.
It will feature the Giles Academy Choir, The Christmas Chorus and The Boston Salvation Army Band and Timbrels.
A collection will be taken for the Christmas relief work of the Salvation Army in Boston.
The Mayor and Mayoress will also help to serve lunch at the Salvation Army Hall on Christmas Day. The pair had dressed in Victorian outfits last weekend to help sell mulled wine for the cause and collect tins of food to be distributed to those in need.
