Santa in festive sweet giveaway

SWEET generosity will light up the faces of children in Boston this Christmas thanks to a local confectionary business.

Santa visited the town extra early when he popped in to Edwards Emporium sweet shop in Dolphin Lane to collect 1,000 free sweets to give to children.

Dave Edwards donated the lollipops and they will be handed out to youngsters when Santa tours the town centre as part of the Christmas lights switch-on celebrations on Thursday, November 24.

Boston Borough Council’s portfolio holder for the town centre, Coun Derek Richmond, said: “We are so grateful to all who have willingly come forward to help us make the start of the festive season in Boston just that – really festive.”
