People are being encouraged to become ‘human books’ by sharing their life stories at Boston Library.
The library is hosting a ‘Human Library’ event tomorrow (Thursday), from 11am until 1pm – the first of many to be held across the county.
Jonathan Platt, head of libraries and heritage, said: “The event aims to help people have a healthier, happier outlook.
“The ‘human libraries’ project has been tried before and worked really well to promote a greater understanding of issues such as addiction, self-harm, race and mental health.”
Sessions are in a quiet space where visitors are given the chance to speak informally with ‘people on loan’.
Refreshments, training and support will be available and travel expenses will be paid.
