To celebrate Guy Fawkes night on November 5 there will be several fireworks displays being put on over the next few days.

Tonight (Friday) Boston United will be hosting a huge fireworks display at the Jakemans Stadium.

This takes place from 6pm, with the fireworks expected at 8pm.

Pre-display entertainment includes a ‘Tribute to the Stars’ live music act, Tobias the Clown mingling with the crowd plus appearances from the United Cheer Team and Tiny Pilgrims.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for under-16s and £12 for family foursomes.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Boston Rugby Club is hosting its annual fireworks night at the PRSA in Great Fen Road, Boston.

The club promises to offer a ‘great family atmosphere’ with children’s fairground rides, a balloon artist and barbecue. There will be a licensed bar with soft drinks for the children - but sparklers are not allowed.

On Monday, those at the south of the borough can enjoy a fireworks show in Donington, which is being put on by the group IDEA (Improving the Donington Environment for All).

This takes place at the Community Centre from 6pm. Entry is £4.

Then on Friday next week, an ‘unforgettable fireworks night spectacular’ is promised to those who visit Boston Town FC’s ground in Tattershall Road. The club promises this year’s display will be bigger and better than last year.

The night starts at 6pm, with the fire-lighting at 7.30pm. There will be a barbecue and an open bar.
