Celebrations afoot for first year anniversary of village library

You are invited to join volunteers at a library near Boston next week as they celebrate one year since the resource re-opened under community control.

Donington Library, in High Street, was among the libraries Lincolnshire County Council recently handed over to communities to run in a move designed to cut costs.

Next week, volunteers will mark one year since the library re-opened under their control.

There will be drinks, nibbles, and a chance to take part in a quiz (with prizes to be won) on Wednesday (10am-1pm), Friday (2-6pm), and Saturday (10am-1pm). A birthday cake will be cut on Saturday at noon.
