Fresh from her recent European Tour young musician Louise Jordan comes to Boston as guest of Boston Folk Club, one of 31 nights on her spring UK tour.

Louise is a gifted instrumentalist playing guitar, piano and cello, but it is her voice which is most often celebrated as the pinnacle of her trademark sound - described by organisers as ‘captivating, powerful and evocative’.

Louise says she feels nowhere more at home than on the road and has already completed seven UK tours, with appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the National Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as performing in Denmark, Holland and Germany.

Louise released her third album ‘Veritas’ in autumn 2014.

Louise has had support from Help Musicians UK who awarded her an Emerging Excellence Grant to produce the album and she has been part of the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s Aspire Programme for the development of emerging artists

Self-penned acoustic songs blend with her innovative arrangements of traditional songs and even a Handel aria.

Louise has previously worked as a youth worker and in youth justice before training and working as a teacher in challenging schools in east London as part of the Teach First graduate scheme.

Louise will be performing upstairs at The Eagle pub, on West Street, in Boston, on Monday at 8pm.
