Chamber choir fans from Boston are promised an Easter treat in Spalding this weekend.
Chamber choir Cantemus will be performing music by composers spanning 400 years including John Rutter’s Requiem and Te deum, at Spalding Parish Church on Saturday.
Conductor Eric Wayman has put together a first-half programme including music by Lotti, Purcell, Glinka, Stanford and Biebl including Purcell’s version of I Was Glad.
Accompanying the choir will be an instrumental ensemble including Moulton-based cellist and Cantemus member Glenis Malkin, organist Stephen Barber and treble soloist Dominic Felts.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10, students free, and are available from Cantemus members, Calthops Solicitors in Spalding Market Place and on the door.
