Piano duo will return to Windmill Studio

A POPULAR piano duo are set to return to the Windmill Studio concerts in Swineshead on Friday.

The Bing Bing Piano Duo will be performing at the event at the village hall from 7.30pm.

The duo consists of Bing Bing Li and Shio Osaki and was formed while both were studying at the Royal Academy of Music.

The duo have appeared in many festivals in the UK, including the Messiaen Festival Southbank, the Schubert Festival in London and the Schumann Festival, London.

They have also been invited to perform in the Royal Opera House and the Colston Concert Hall in Bristol.

Bing Bing Li was awarded the title Star of the Future at the age of seven by the Chinese Northern Province Government and made her recording debut in collaboration with the Central Conservatory of Music in 1998.

She was trained at the Royal Academy of Music for both undergraduate and postgraduate and has been a piano teacher at Kings College London since 2009.

Shio Osaki started playing the piano at the age of four, moved to London aged 12 and began studying with Christopher Elton, entering the Royal Academy of Music with a full scholarship and finishing with a first class masters in 2010.

Both pianist have won international awards.

Tickets are available on the door, £12 for adults, children are free.
