Long-running rock ‘n’ roll variety show That’ll Be The Day comes to Skegness’ Embassy Theatre this weekend with a special festive offering.
That’ll Be The Day Christmas Show takes to the stage at the Grand Parade venue on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Audience members can expect a mix of comedy and classic Christmas hits from the new show.
The team behind That’ll Be The Day have this year been celebrating the show’s 30th anniversary.
After starting out as a six-week experiment, the show has grown to be a hit with audiences and critics - Time Out hailed it ‘the best rock ‘n’ roll show on the road’.
The show also has a history of supporting worthy causes, particularly ChildLine, Help for Heroes, and, more recently, the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish grants wishes of children and young people living with life-threatening illnesses and in the first 12 months of their fundraising the That’ll Be The Day team raised more than £70,000 in post-show collections.
Trevor Payne, from the show, said: “We are truly delighted to be supporting Make-a-Wish. The tireless work they do with children across the UK is inspirational and we look forward to a long and fruitful association with this amazing charity.”
Tickets for Saturday’s show are priced at £25 (£24 for over 60s, £14 for children).
