An adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic Alice in Wonderland will be told in a magical puppet show set for Boston on Saturday.
The production, by Box Tale Soup, features a cast of just two performers, a dozen colourful hand-made puppets and a beautiful set that unfolds from a vintage truck.
The visial treats are offered alongside a ‘magical soundtrack’ of original music composed especially for the show.
Follow Alice on her remarkable journey, from herfleeting encounters with the White Rabbit to her eventual showdown with the crazed Queen of Hearts.
A promoter for the show said: “From the surprising appearance of the Cheshire Cat to the madness of the Tea Party, this is a constantly inventive and refreshing take on Carroll’s classic work.”
Alice in Wonderland will play at Skirbeck St Nicholas community hall in Boston on Saturday at 2.30pm.
The show is suitable for children aged four-plus and will last for about 55 minutes. For tickets call the box office on 01205 361411 or email wendy008@btinter net.com.
