Spa Afternoon WI
At September meeting, the speaker was Anglian Water's Local Community Ambassador, Stuart Robson, who gave an informative talk on his position managing water recycling plants in Lincolnshire and in particular the Woodhall Spa plant in Green Lane.
His talk included details of Anglian Water’s proposed plans for the future and how everyone can get involved in being aware of how much water we use and how it can be saved.
He also mentioned how, ideally, water metering could eventually be introduced for all customers and handed out ‘shower timers’, ‘sink strainers’ and packets of lavender seeds.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 10, in St Peter’s Hall, starting at 2pm, when Chrissie Chapman will be speaking on ‘Votes for Women – Lincolnshire Style’.
